Sep 17, 2007  1 C half-and-half. 2 C heavy cream. 3/4 C sugar. 6 T whole coffee beans. 6 egg yolks. 1 – 2 t vanilla extract. Combine the half-and-half, cream, sugar and coffee beans in a saucepan over low heat. Let the mixture get fairly hot, but do not let it boil.
